Making Money in Space

Most of us have seen the recent success involving the Curiosity rover on Mars, the most advanced technological mission to date. Here on earth, we are struggling with the increasing difficulties of climate change, industrial pollution, depletion of natural resources, and clean energy development. Under these circumstances, it is not surprising that a group of enlightened, dedicated individuals is looking to space for viable solutions.

Thus the ISDHub (International Space Development Hub) was born. ISDHub will be a center for "the development of space resources, the protection of [the] environment, and Human Civilization". ISDHub will be a technically advanced office complex dedicated to information- and space technology companies and startups. The ISDHub Partners, including The Leeward Space Foundation and others are determined to pursue this vision. ISDHUB will be a business hub with the technical specifics to cater to a sophisticated clientele. Its investment platform will channel resources and innovations into an indispensable 21st century industry.

On June 6, 2012, ISDHub submitted a proposal to NASA Ames to transform Hangar One at Moffett Field in California from a parking space into a space platform. They will use this historic landmark to develop their project "Transit of Venus". Once approved, the partners expect to take 12 to 18 months to develop a Master Plan, addressing every aspect of this ambitious endeavor.

"Space is fundamental from an evolutionary perspective, as well as commercial and environmental perspectives", said Dr. Armen Papazian, CEO of ISDHub. "The ISDHub will be an open global platform created to act as a catalyst for the great changes to come, and will be home to cultural, scientific, artistic, and educational initiatives, playing their role in a new and unfolding world view."

Aligned with the purpose and mission of this project, Leeward and the Star Voyager initiative released an eBook, titled "How to Develop the Solar System and Beyond: A Roadmap to Interstellar Space". They sell it both on their website and on Amazon for $8.88. It is a fascinating look at interstellar space development. If you have an interest in how we will commercialize space, this book is a must-read. http://www.leewardspacefoundation.org/id36.html

We are only just beginning to explore this exciting new frontier!
