(GREENSBORO, NC) Mark Livingston, SPHR, has been named Vice President of Training and Certification for The Herman Group, a management consulting firm specializing in workforce issues. In his new role, Livingston will be responsible for the firm's initiatives in training human resource professionals in the techniques of employee retention. The appointment was announced by the firm's Chief Executive Officer, Roger Herman, author of "Keeping Good People," "How to Become an Employer of Choice," and other books in the workforce field. "Mark Livingston brings a unique background of management, training, human resources, and certification programs to the firm. His leadership will enable The Herman Group to help more employers attract and retain top talent, as the labor market tightens." Livingston holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Organizational Development from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society for Training and Development.
